Japan-based video game developer SEGA officially introduced its game Sonic Frontiers at The Game Awards after trademarking the name and accidentally leaking it to the internet . In a first for the series, it will come with an open world, as we took a look at in the cinematic announcement trailer released for Sonic Frontiers . It will offer plenty of trails and wide open spaces.
An experience like never before, take to new heights and experience the thrill of high speed, open space freedom. Battle powerful enemies as you speed through the Starfall Islands with dense jungle landscapes, overflowing waterfalls, sizzling deserts and more!
It will be released next summer for PC and consoles.
Sonic Frontiers is expected to be released as a cross-generational game for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, Nintendo Switch, and PC by the holiday season next year. Alongside the announcement of Sonic Team’s latest project, a trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has also been released, starring Ben Schwartz as Sonic the Hedgehog, Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails and Idris Elba as Knuckles the Echidna.
