First Announcement for AMD Ryzen 7000 Processors! What are the features?

AMD made its first announcement for AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors, which are known to be under development for a long time . We have also seen how the new series, which was announced within the scope of Computex 2022 , will make a difference in its main lines.

Obviously, the statements made confirm the incoming leaks. If you wish, let’s not delay and go into details about what will happen in the new series.

What Features Will AMD Ryzen 7000 Series Come With?

We will see a transition to the next generation architecture with the new processor family. The series is transitioning to Zen4 architecture , powered by 5 nm production technology .

The new architecture, which will offer clock speeds over 5 GHz and provide a 15% increase in the single thread part, will also double the amount of L2 cache per core .

We see that the Zen4 architecture, which will provide a serious performance increase for AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors , will also be an important response to Intel.

Let’s add that the processors that will come with the new architecture will include a completely renewed 6nm I/O  unit , as well as the cores with the Zen4 architecture .

In order to explain this structure more clearly, an example model was shown during the presentation. Let’s add images of it. In the image , you will better understand the structure of AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors.

The series, which we will see that it continues to use RDNA 2 architecture graphics units in its internal graphics unit , will switch to the AM5 platform in socket. With the new AM5 die, PCIe 5.0 support will also be featured. The TDP value will vary between 65W and 170W .

What to Expect in Performance

There is no separate information for all models that will take place in the series yet, but a general performance comparison has also been made. The first comparison was with the Intel Core i9-12900K model. We don’t know which Ryzen 7000 model was used, but the comparison shows that the new AMD processor performs 31% better in Blender Render tests .

In addition, during the demonstration, a model from the Ryzen 7000 series was also shown to be clocked at 5.5 GHz during Ghostwire Tokyo gameplay . Apart from these, nothing more was said about performance.

We expect much more information to be shared in the near future for AMD 7000 series processors , which are limited information for now . We look forward to seeing how many models there will be and what kind of clock speeds we will see in these models.
