Motorola Frontier Leaked: 200MP Main Camera!

A number of rumors began to circulate on the Internet that Motorola, the United States-based technology company owned by Google, will launch a smartphone in the flagship segment in 2022. On the main camera side of the smartphone, South Korea-based technology manufacturer Samsung will use the ISOCELL HP1 sensor with a resolution of 200MP.

Both renders and live photos of the smartphone, which will be powered by chip maker Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset, have been leaked to the internet.

The upcoming Motorola Frontier comes with a main camera on the back with a 200MP resolution sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support and f/2.2 aperture, and this main camera is accompanied by two auxiliary cameras. According to Samsung’s statement about the lens, it can function as different sensors thanks to its deep learning-based resounding algorithm.

The Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor is able to group 2×2 pixels and provides 50 MP resolution with an effective pixel size of 1.28 µm. There is also a 4×4 grouping mode with 16 sensor pixels used to create a large image pixel with a resolution of 12.5MP and a pixel equivalent of 2.56 µm.

The advanced sensor with superior features can record video up to 8K at 30FPS.

What are the possible technical specifications of Motorola Frontier?

Motorola Frontier will come with a 6.67-inch pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and will offer a 60MP selfie camera in a dot notch at the top center of the screen. It will have 8GB and 12GB RAM, and 128GB and 256GB Storage configurations.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, the smartphone will be powered by a 4500mAh battery with 125W Wired Fast Charge and wireless fast charging support ranging from 30W to 50W. The smartphone is expected to launch in July.
