Samsung, one of the South Korean-based technology giants, officially introduced the Galaxy Z Flip4 , one of the new generation foldable smartphone models, at the Galaxy Unpacked launch event today. The next-generation foldable smartphone is the company’s best offering in this form factor and in the foldable smartphone market.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 comes with a new narrow-gap slim hinge system that makes it more compact and less susceptible to damage. The smartphone measures 84.9 x 71.9 x 17.1 mm when closed (folded) and 165.2 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm when unfolded.
In addition, the glass panels on the back of the smartphone are now protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus +, and the outer frame, which combines all the parts, is made of Armored Aluminum as in other models.
Z Flip4, which comes with a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with Full HD + resolution and 120Hz image refresh rate , has thinner screen frames compared to previous models. On the front, it offers a 10MP selfie camera and a 22:9 aspect ratio.
Enhanced outer cover display
The 1.9-inch outer cover screen also has an AMOLED panel and offers a resolution of 260×512 pixels like the Flip3 model, but the company has added a number of functionalities to the screen on this side. The outer cover screen will now work in sync with the phone’s user interface and offer a range of customization options, including panels and themes tailored to your actions.
There’s a growing list of widgets and quick setting controls that let you call up to three of your favorite contacts without picking up the phone or checking SmartThings home devices. Samsung Pay cards will also appear directly on the small screen on the outer cover.
It comes with a single RAM option
Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chipset, the smartphone configuration side offers a single RAM to be 8GB and three different internal storage options, 128, 256 and 512GB. On the camera side, there is a 12MP main camera with 1.8µm pixels, optically stabilized f/1.8 aperture and 12MP resolution used in Galaxy S20/S21 and Fold3 models, while there is an ultra-wide-angle auxiliary sensor with 12MP resolution.
Battery and charging
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 meets the energy needed by the hardware it contains from a 3700 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support, and when we compare it with the Galaxy Z Flip3, which uses a 3,300 mAh battery, we see that it has received a 400 mAh increase.
Customize as much as you want with Bespoke
Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be available in four different color options as standard: Graphite, Rose Gold, Bora Purple and Blue, but you can also opt for the Bespoke Edition model, which allows you to match up to 75 unique color combinations.
While the smartphone started to pre-order as of August 26, with price tags starting from 999 Euro/999 Pound and 1.099 Euro in the foreign market, the price in Turkey has not been shared yet.
