Apple’s Chief Privacy Officer Jane Horvath Leaves The Company!

United States-based software and technology giant Apple’s Privacy Department chief, Jane Horvath , is preparing to leave the company to join a law firm, according to a new report released by Bloomberg . Horvath has served as Apple’s Chief Privacy Officer for the past few years, and before that was senior director of global privacy at the company.

Horvath has worked with Apple for over a decade and also previously held the title of Chief Privacy Officer at the United States Department of Justice while serving at Google . Now, Horvath will be working at law firm Gibson, Dunn and Crutcher LLP, which worked with Apple and sided with Apple in the latest lawsuit between Apple and Epic Games.

What did Jane Horvath do at Apple?

Horvath, who serves as Chief Privacy Officer, has spoken publicly on privacy on behalf of Apple for a variety of reasons, including at CES in 2020 and the 2022 Computers, Privacy and Data Protection Conference in Brussels.

In the news made by Bloomberg, it was stated that Horvath is also responsible for Apple’s relations with trade groups and Capitol Hill, and compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe.
