Reverse Engineer Jane Manchun Wong has managed to reveal the details of Twitter’s Paid Subscription feature called Super Follows. Twitter wants to run a trial version of the service, which will give access to exclusive content to followers paying $4.99.
The trial is set to be open to any type of content, including Adult content, who regularly tweet and have more than 10,000 followers, and Twitter only specifically lists OnlyFans as a source of content. Twitter estimates that a person with 60,000 followers could earn more than $6,000 per month if they only convert 2% of their followers into paid subscribers.
This feature will put Twitter in direct competition with platforms like Patreon and OnlyFans, and we’ll see if they can compete successfully against these dedicated communities.
