Social media giant Facebook is working on a feature that will automatically transcribe conversations and add captions to the Stories section of its main platform Facebook. The feature was discovered by reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi, who leaked the feature aimed at making videos more accessible.
This, of course, also has the beneficial side-effect of allowing people to comfortably watch stories in places where they cannot listen to the audio, such as at work or school. Engineer Alessandro managed to pull out a demo that can be seen below:
The social media giant seems to have spent some time making the presentation of the texts more appealing to the user, which should make life a little easier for creators who have to manually make the same type of captions.
