Social media giant Facebook is partnering with Ubisoft to add its mobile games to Facebook Gaming’s cloud gaming service for the United States region. Facebook Gaming has officially announced this new partnership in a blog post where they show that they are running Assassin’s Creed Rebellion on various screens via their cloud gaming service.
Assassin’s Creed Rebellion won’t be the only game from Ubisoft’s catalog to join Facebook’s cloud gaming service, as Hungry Shark Evolution, Hungry Dragon, Mighty Quest, and Trials Frontier will all be free-to-play via the cloud. These latest additions from Ubisoft bring Facebook Gaming’s list of cloud-published games to as many as 25, and some of the latest additions to the service including Roller Coaster Tycoon Touch, Lego Legacy Heroes Unboxed, Dragon Mania Legends, and State of Survival.
If you haven’t heard, Facebook Gaming’s cloud service is focused on offering free mobile games rather than blockbuster AAA games, as these smaller mobile games are much easier to host on their servers and offer for free.
This smaller scope will allow for a faster rollout of Facebook’s Cloud Service, with Facebook’s blog post stating that “they are rolling out in Canada and Mexico and will reach Western and Central Europe in early 2022.”
