Added Subtitle Option for Live Video Calls to Skype!

Yes, you read right  , Microsoft stated that according to the announcement published on the Skype blog, it will soon be available during live video calls on the skype mobile application and versions on other devices. Skype stated that this feature was made especially for people who are deaf or hard of hearing and aim to use Skype more comfortably.

Will Support Over 20 Languages

The announcement also says it plans to translate into more than 20 languages, but reports that this will happen “in the coming weeks .” Subtitles will also work with Skype version 8 on Android, iOS, Linux , Mac and Windows , as well as Skype apps for Windows 10.

To Enable Subtitles in Skype;

During an audio or video call, click the button at the bottom right and choose to enable subtitles.

To enable subtitles by default for all Skype calls:

  • Choose your profile picture.
  • Select Settings.
  • Select Search.
  • Select call subtitles.

Show / Change subtitles for all audio and video calls.

Disable subtitles in Skype

During an audio or video call, select the more button.
Select disable subtitles.
