Apple Warns All Users Of An Important Vulnerability: Update All Your Devices Immediately
Apple , one of the software and technology giants based in the United States , announced that they have detected a critical vulnerability that affects iPhone, iPad and Mac models . After detecting the vulnerability, the company called for users to update their devices so that they do not become victims.
Publishing two different announcements on its official website, Apple stated that a very important security vulnerability was detected in the operating systems of the devices, and emphasized that the iOS 15.6.1, iPadOS 15.6.1 and macOS Monterey 12.5.1 updates should be installed urgently.
Vulnerability can take control of device
Thanks to the vulnerability in question, attackers/hackers can take advantage of the detected vulnerability and run any code they want on your device, access all your personal data, and take control of your entire device from you.
It is not yet known how long the vulnerability has been open and whether it has been exploited and how many people have been harmed, but Apple has urged users with the products listed below to update immediately:
- iPhone 6S and all later iPhone models
- All iPad Pro models
- iPad Air 2 and all later iPad Air models
- iPad 5 and later all iPad models
